9/14...served on tap at LVPB. Pours a yellow haze, almost looks like a hefe. Light ring of white foam. Grainy nose, slight rye picks up but faint. Taste is very clean, almost too much so, and then a rye flavor mixes in to lend a little body. The mouthfeel like on the light side and the beer is very drinkable. All in all a nice rotator.

I like rye beers so I was anxious to try this one. Very light gold color with a modest, quickly vanishing head; not much lacing. The rye really pops in the nose, with a faint metallic aspect I've encountered with other beers in this style.
The flavor is decent enough, with the same pluses and minuses...the rye is there, mostly emerging on the finish. The metallic taste is in there too. Hops are pretty subdued. SOme minor spice notes.
This is a pretty thin beer with medium to low carbonation. Dry. Went well enough with a dish of calamari. Definitely drinkable but ultimately a bit forgettable. You should try it if you're a fan of the style but don't expect anything too impressive.

Poured a medium straw hue with a half finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.
The smell featured a light doughy grain and a smattering of noble hop.
The taste was balanced and consisted of a spicy malt and grassy hop.
The mouthfeel was average for the style.
Overall a tasty beer. A low hopped rye ale.
