this is my first beer ever from this place, and the first i am ever hearing about them, looks like a really cool spot, a small town general store that also brews and makes some nice looking pizza, had no idea this existed out there, let alone that that were doing cans, so cool! the art on this is amazing, and the beer is pretty good too, not amateurish really at all, and the whole thing has me excited, like this is obviously a labor of love for someone, and so much of that has disappeared from craft beer over the years, there is something nostalgic and honest and refreshing about this, glad to have encountered it and definitely curious to try more and visit the place! golden honey colored beer with a frothy near inch of white head from the can, its not perfectly clear but its not hazy either, lots of bubbles, looks pretty good. aroma has some grain balance, a touch of sweet nutty cereal malt, setting up fresh orange and grapefruit citrus notes, moderate bitterness, and obvious freshness throughout, to me almost slightly english with the fuller grain character and a little bit of ale yeast appreciable in the ferment, not quite english maybe, but leaning that way to me. the flavor is nicely proportioned with meyer lemon and tangerine fruitiness from the hops most of the way and the bitterness all on the swallow, subtle apricot, green grape, and floral honey to this, and its very flavorful overall. i like the grain in it, fresh and with a sort of granola vibe, a little more substance than is on trend in the style right now, but its nice. drinkable brew with adequate carbonation, medium body, and a lot of flavor. stoked about this place, need to get out there and check it out and grab a pizza! lots to like about this ipa.
