If you get this one, I recommend letting it sit for awhile. It had a strange aftertaste last night that went away in time. Plenty of adjunct presence of vanilla, coffee, and especially the maple. All blends well together. Good consistency in the body, definite booze presence. Good.

Pours a thick dark brown. Looks more like a stout. Maple syrup and vanilla dominate the nose. Tastes like a smooth coffee with subtle vanilla and maple syrup. Not overly sweet or sticky, very well balanced. The milk sugar gives it a creamy feel. Very impressive “brunch” porter.

Poured out of a 16 oz can. Imperial Porter w/ single origin Ugandan coffee, vanilla, lactose, and maple syrup.
Pours midnight black with a finger of dark mocha head. Looks like a stout more than a porter.
Aroma is tons of maple, almost like maple candy. Also get creamy vanilla, decent amount of gourmet coffee, some lactose sweetness, milk and dark chocolate.
Taste is not nearly as sweet as the aroma indicates. Despite the maple, lactose, and vanilla addition, the sweetness is held in check surprisingly. The coffee and maple are in great balance at the forefront, with additional notes of light vanilla, light lactose sweetness, and bittersweet chocolate chip. More maple taste than sweetness, if that makes sense. Dries out at the end like an actual porter should, which was not expected and is what keeps this from getting too sweet.
Low full body. Creamy, slick, oily, sticky. This still is still a "pastry" beer, but it's much more drinkable than your typical one due to the dryness on the finish.
Overall, this is outstanding. Granted, I love maple and coffee, but the fact that this tempers the sweetness on the taste and drinks like an actual porter makes this one impressive. Well done and looking forward to more dark beers from these guys.

This is a variant of the Kittywampus Porter. This one has coffee, milk sugar, vanilla, and maple syrup. It has a really nice look to it, deep black and thick. The smell was predominantly maple syrup but also coffee. The taste is where this one went downhill for me. Way way to sweet for my taste. The maple syrup just dominates the taste and totally drowns out the coffee. The mouthfeel was too sticky. I'll stick with the coffee variant.
