Love the name because as a suburbanite it is easier to tell out of towners "chicagoland or chicago-ish". But this should be named "Lager-ish". Appearance is great with thick lacing but that’s the highlight. Smell onion and weedy hops, with minor tropical notes especially papaya, no yeast or malt notes that stand out. Taste is simply awful! It is a hop bomb with pungent onion and tropical tones, pale yeast just taxes the palate more in a non-complimentary way, mop water. Feel is smooth but so so so flat, not clean either with such hop intensity

This was a nice lightly hopped plisner from Foreign Exchange. It was not overly hopped and it was still light and crisp with a very nice dry finish. Very nice bready sweet malt added to the the flavor profile. Very nice

No date on the can.
It pours a clear straw yellow with a finger of foam.
The smell is hoppy but with Galaxy hops vs the usual noble hops that I expect from a Pilsner. Suburban style Pilsner? What the heck is that??
The taste is hoppy and grainy, hop bitterness is not of the noble kind. Earthy, almost to a tropical fruitiness but not quite. Good but could be better with a more traditional approach, whether it be German or Czech.
Good mouthfeel though I reckon that the carbonation could be bumped up some.
When I think of Pilsners, this will not be near the top of my list.

16oz can
no apparent freshness date
L: crystal clear golden body, effervescent carbonation, fluffy pillow of white foam
S: biscuity malt, faint citrusy hops
T: a nice mix of biscuity/crackery/grainy Pilsner malt and a bright yet balanced lemony citrus from the Galaxy hops; earthy and spicy in the background, reminiscent of a German Pilsner
F: light-to-medium body, moderate carbonation, dry and balanced finish
O: this was great! Uniquely delicious.
