Kittywampus - Toasted Marshmallow

Tar black pour with hints of brown on the edges, with a finger of tan foam. Big marshmallow and vanilla atop the nose with chocolate malt, coffee, a hint of creme brulee, and earth. Taste starts a little harsh with big dark roast coffee, roasted malt, and even a hint of barley, subtle earth and chocolate start the emergence out of this though, before the vanilla and even more so the marshmallow carry through the rest of the taste with the chocolate. It is roasty and sweet feeling with a medium body but higher viscosity. Nice work here

This coffee porter was very good overall. The nose has that pastry sweetness to cut the potent malt and roasted coffee bean base. The palate hits fairly bitter with that Ugandan coffee, but the milk sugar softens really well and with warmth those s'mores vibes begin to emerge with notes of vanilla and marshmallow. Good weight; carb could be a touch softer.

L: thick dark brown porter with a bubbly brown head that fades to a thin foam
S: sweet chocolate, creamed coffee, vanilla, marshmallow, dark grain, brown sugar
T: mimicked aroma; sweet brown sugar & lactose, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, molasses, toasty marshmallow, grain, modest earthy hops
F: thick, creamy, and syrupy; ample carbonation, cloyingly sweet finish
O: good flavors with nice complexity, but it’s too sweet for me to have another

This is one of the first beers that I could actually smell/taste after having covid and it was quite delicious. Nice coffee, complimented wonderfully with vanilla, marshmallow tones. This is my 2nd variant of Kittywampus and I will be grabbing them whenever I come across them, really good beer!
