2022 version aged in Maker's Mark Private Select & 1792 Barrels. Generously poured into taster glass at More 5th Anniversary Fest.
Beautiful dark mocha hue, viscous barleywine. Tons of caramel and brown sugar, slight dark fruit with a nice oaky barrel finish. On the sweeter side but not cloying. Mouthfeel is just so smooth. This beer kind of "wowed" me at the fest. Definitely a sleeper amongst the hype pastry stouts of the day. If this gets bottled for a release somewhere, I am there.
