Poured from a freshness dated 16 oz. can: clear, deep golden (a la Pilsner Urquell) with a foamy, sustained white head.

As with the style, the aroma is rather faint with hints of ozone and faint hops.

First, I'll say I am pleased to see more breweries attempting this style among all the high-alcohol, fruit-infused, hazy triple IPAs. In this instance, the brewery does miss the mark, despite the overall refreshing nature of the lager. This pilsner lacked that balance between gentle hop bitterness and the sweet cracker-like flavors you expect from the style. It is almost steely in its bitterness, and the malt is only slightly evident.

The mouthfeel is somewhat thin for the style and the sharp but vague bitterness dominates the palate. It does make a good thirst-quencher in the hot Florida climate; however, for the price, it is not worth a repeat.

Pours a crystal clear bright gold color. Huge billowy white head forms on the beer before slowly dissipating and eventually collapsing on itself.

Aroma has notes of crackery malts with some wonder (white) bread notes with some grassy hops on the back end. the hops have a certain floral and herbal character to them.

Taste is interesting ... So the malts are incredibly mild - allowing the hops in this to dominate the flavor profile. So the grassy, herbal hop notes really dominate what flavor you get from this beer. But then, there is a strong metallic taste on the finish with a weird sweetness to it. The finish is way too hoppy and ultimately too bitter for what I want in a pilsner. In the end it is just kind of a mess.

Feel is light, crisp, with bright carbonation.

Overall this is a fresh can as it is dated- thank you! However, the flavor profile on this is a mess. The malt is MIA - especially for a "German pilsner". The hops are way over the top and I do not need any metallic flavors in my beer. Hard pass.
