Union Hall Brewery

In downtown Bozeman, apparently this used to be another brewery. Long and narrow, beer on one side, whiskey on the other. Nice selection of taps, good service. worth a stop.

these guys took over the old white dog spot when those cats decided to focus on boise. it doesnt seem like much has changed here in terms of layout or decor, still a neat old historic brick building with high ceilings and lots of wooden features, what looks like the same brew house through windows in the back, and the same awesome long bar with the frozen strip in it to set your pint glass on, i always loved that feature here! the space feels clean and warm and inviting, even though it was really mellow and nearly empty on a weeknight when i was in. they had a couple of young college bros working the bar, neither of them particularly beery, but both enthusiastic and nice enough, chatty, that sort of thing, a different sort of staffing than most taprooms ive been to, but they were cool. they had a decent mix of beers on tap, lots of it rather straightforward, but i was overly impressed with the plow chaser ipa, its super well done, different from the crowd, and really good overall, took me by surprise for sure, but this beer is exceptional. i had a hazy too that was solid but less of a standout, seems like they have their quality dialed in pretty well, and ill pop back in next time to drink a few others. they offer food too, but i didnt get into it this time through. i think these guys will do well, its a nice space and the beer was very good, tough to beat the downtown location too. give them a try!
