On tap at Fidens Brewing in Albany, NY.
This one pours a fairly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like mango, pineapple, sweet white wine, and some marijuana.
Fidens makes a whole bunch of Double IPAs, so it’s kinda cool to see they can nail a smaller pale ale. It’s super juicy, with a nice clean and soft bitterness on the back end. It’s a little bit grapey, as Nelson tends to be, with tons of citrusy goodness.
This is light bodied, slightly creamy, with a very nice drinkability.
This is probably one of the better Fidens beers I’ve had so far.

Sweet orange citrus tropical hoppy, white wine grape, and a subtle malty nose on this one! Taste follows with an orange citrus and grapefruit citrus hoppy bitter finish. For a pale ale, this is extremely soft on the palate. Outstanding!

Brilliant orange haze. Nose is candied orange and mango. Taste is citrus forward with some really wonderful white grape and grass peeking through. Crisp and easy drinking mouthfeel. No lingering bitterness.

Pours a hazy orange with soft head.
Smell is juicy, peppery and grassy with a hint of sweetness. Notes of grpes, gooseberries, cittrus, white wine and lemongrass.
Taste is juicy, a bit fruity and grassy with some pepperiness as well. Notes of citrus, mango, peach and gooseberries with some mineral hints and a soft bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft, pillowy and well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific pale ale, would be even better with more pronounced Nelson notes in the flavor.

From a 2-week-old can, pours a very hazy light greenish gold. Smell and taste are a nice combo of Nelson and Citra, with white wine and fruit dominating, along with the Citra sweaty dank. Has the flavor of a much bigger beer at a lower ABV. Fantastic.

3 months old. Can to wine glass.
L: Pours a milky light yellow with a fluffy white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Just a couple of floaters.
S: Candied citrus fruits, white grapes and fresh strawberries. Slightly herbal and grassy.
T: Fresh citrus fruits and white grapes paired with grassy notes. Subtle sweetness with some tart hints and a medium bitter finish.
F: Soft and smooth. Medium carbonation.
O: Nice showcase of Citra and Nelson in the form of a crushable Pale Ale. Even though the smell is quite intense, the actual taste is rather subtle and elegant. Overall a great beer with a fine complexity and a nice balance.
