06/06/23 can from the Kreog in Rhinebeck, NY. Pours a murky yellow gold haze with a finger of white pancake batter head, nice lacing; smell is mild, earthy and floral citrus, doughy brioche/egg custard, hints of cinnamon, vanilla, and cream soda; taste is Orangina, zesty orange crush, orange zest, orange peel, pithy and zesty finish, hints of yellow cake and orange frosting; feel is medium bodied, creamy carbonation, mild hop burn. Mild on the nose, big orange and zesty punch on the palate, orange cake.

 

This beer pours a juicy pineapple color. Very hazy and murky looking. The head is 2 finger, and mostly white with a hint of yellow in it. Very frothy and fluffy looking head. Head retention is decent, and there's a good deal of lacing on the glass.
Nose is mostly citrus, with some pineapple in it. I also get a slightly earthy aroma that pokes it's way into the mix.
Tons of citrus flavor going on here. Lots of pineapple and grapefruit. I am not getting anything earthy that I was getting in the aroma. There's a decent bitterness on the back that lingers in my throat.
The body is pretty full, and pretty juicy. It feels like drinking pineapple or grapefruit juice. Not extremely sticky feeling, but there's some there.
Pretty good overall, and a pleasure to try.
