Canned 2 weeks ago. This is what I would consider the best of what Fidens can serve up: higher gravity, super punchy, tropical-forward, with a crisp pale malt backbone. What a joy when they pull it off, as here

Pours a dense yellow with way less head than expected, there's barely anything there. Quite odd.
Smell is initially lychee, but then quickly turns to a more generic citrus a d tropical fruit. Feels a bit muddled
Taste is the same.
Feel is rich and a bit burnt unfortunately. Was expecting something better. I guess fidens just aren't my favourite

Pours a completely opaque color of grapefruit juice with almost two fingers of fluffy head. The nose has notes of white grape combined with some over-ripened tropical fruits and a touch of dankness on the backend. The flavor combined citrus notes with sweet tropical fruitiness. There's also a hint of graininess and a healthy malt backbone for a juicy, hazy IPA. There is modest hop bitterness on the finish but it almost gets lost in the waves of sweet fruitiness.

Every now and then, there's a beer that shakes up the scene. One that pulls from the crowded hazy market and shows once again what the style can be when masterful brewers, fresh ingredients and determination hits the glass.
And the excitement of Triple Vegan is realized with a creamy golden-taupe and a pearlish haze in its creamy appearance. The beer's turbid appearance only works to make the session more juicy. A slow separation of froth ale underneath suggests a viscous character that carries over to a creamy, tangy-sweet and fruit-filled taste just after a grassy sweetness, citrusy sherbet, herbal and sprucy scent starts out like a juicy citronella.
The flavors that bloom on the middle palate are abundant with a full fruit cocktail. Tangerine, in all its tangy, fructose-sweet, radiant and racy springs to life with a zesty support of red red grapefruit and lime. Tantalizing tropical fruits join the taste with passionfruit, kiwi, and papaya nuances. Smooth in the beer's late taste, a sense of herbal sherbet and white grape with citrus apply their final and lasting impressions of spiked sorbet.
Creamy and malty-dry, the taste is pleasantly plush on the palate but trails into a semi-dry, lightly bittered, resinous and tea-like finish. The soft sappiness of fresh and perfumy cedar links up with fragrant citrus peel for an teeth-churning creamy tartness that aligns with sherbet textures as well as herbal flavors.

Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly malty, orange-grapefruit citrus, white wine grape, slightly earthy, and a faint hint of Nelson-dank nose on this one! Yum! Taste follows exactly with a world-class murky-soft and creamy mouthfeel. As it warms, that Nelson grapefruit citrus vibe turns into some slightly earthy, peachy-stonefruity notes...delicious, but, as you probably already know, I always prefer more Nelson! Ha! Outside of that, this is outstanding!

Canned 8/31/23.
L: Pours an opaque dark yellow with a short white head that quickly thins on top but sticks around the glass. Clumpy lacing.
S: Aromas of white grapes and lemon-lime. Ripe stone fruit. Some weediness.
T: Nelson white grapes up front. Ripe peach and mango in the middle. Dankness on the back end. Finishes dry and slightly bitter, with some heat, understandable given the 10% ABV.
F: Medium mouthfeel. Medium to low carbonation.
O: An excellent hazy TIPA. The Nelson grape pivots to the ripe stone fruit in a tasty manner. A pleasantly weedy backbone. The big ABV isn't completely hidden, but this beer has none of the sweetness often found in TIPAs.
