Acquired a can on 9-16-24 from a friend who visited Fidens on a road trip. Canned 8-28-24; consumed 10-4-24. Cold stored except for the 66-hour Tropical Storm Helene power outage (but it stayed pretty cold).
Beer poured a turbid golden orange with a very nice white head.
Nose is very nice, getting tropical, citrus, and herbal hops.
Taste is very nice, a light but substantial malt base gives way to passion fruit, grapefruit, and orange peel. Getting some onion and garlic on the back end. Finishes beautifully balanced and bitter; 7/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is super light and is very refreshing yet smooth at the same time.
Overall, a really well-made brew. However, this is the second NEIPA i have had with Riwaka that i am getting a garlic and onion herbal post sip aspiration - marking off .25 for nose and taste.
