16oz can. No dating information found.
Black colored body, with a mahogany colored back lit edge. Two fingers of light tan head, which eventually results in islands and a ring. Leaves behind some thin strings of lacing.
Aroma of dark roasted malts, coffee, and dark chocolate.
Taste follows the nose with dark roasted malts, coffee, and dark chocolate, but also adds prune and raisin. The taste is somewhat sweet through the main profile but the aftertaste goes darkly bitter with roasted malts and coffee.
Creamy initial mouthfeel but gets a little thin at the end of each sip. Dark roasted coffee sweetened with dark chocolate in the mouth. Good carbonation.
Good contrast between the sweeter and dark bitter parts of the taste profile. Promotes sipping more than rapid quaffing.
