I stopped in here on 25SEP12 after doing some sight-seeing across the river in Ulm. Barfüsser is about 15 minutes east of the Neu-Ulm Bahnhof...
It is located in a large, pastel-tan colored building not far from the river. Had to take a short stroll around the back to find the entrance. There I found a large patio with numerous tables set under large umbrellas, set on a bluff overlooking the Danube. There's also a small playground for the kids on the grounds. Inside you'll encounter the brewing kettles straight on, with a small Stube off to the left, and a large, bright and airy, more modern dining area to the right. Though I sat outside, the inside seemed comfy despite the modern decor. I believe they had three biers on tap when I visited, a Helles, Schwarze and a Weizen. I had the Helles (they call it Blonde) and it was quite nice. A large plate of Leberkäse mit Kartoffelsalat was tasty, well-sized and nicely presented. My server was on the ball and pleasant. I observed her taking care of at least 6 other tables without missing a step. Though not a "must visit" type of place, if you're in the area I'd say go for it. Prosit!
