A: They specified that this was an unfiltered offering, so it pours a murky mud brown with milk chocolate highlights. Dense head of about two fingers is a classic khaki color that has plenty of staying pours and leaves some sick lacing.
S: Lots of sweetness, sugar beet, plum, candy apple with some raisin. Malts kick in with a rich mocha aroma and caramel, some roastiness.
T: A little light on flavor for a dubbel -- chocolate raisins, dark roasted coffee (which seems out of place) a tart sweetness rolls in at the end.
M: A bit light with a casual slickness.
D: As far as the seasonal's go, not the strongest out of the production line. Could use a little tweaking, at times it reminded me more of a porter than a dubbel. Still, worth a try if you're a Krogh's regular or if you stop in.
