Crimson color body with a off white head. Very nice lacing on the glass.

Roasted malt, chocalate and caramel and that's about it. Nothing in your face.

Taste is very nice. Big time toffee, roasted malts, chocalate and caramel.

Light to medium body, carbonation is medium but easy going down. It leaves the mouth feeling moist and not dry at all.

Overall, this is definitely Krogh's best beer. Very tasty and easy to drink. I would certainly get a grolwer of this to go; that's if I didn't just spend all my money here.

A: Classic brown color. Thin lace head.

S: Sweet malts, a bit of caramel in there with hazelnut and mild almond.

T: Just a tad sweet, brown sugar with a funky hazelnut following.

M: Sort or soda-like with a creamy texture.

D: You could have a few and enjoy them. A sessionable Krogh's offering.

I don't know if it's the beer or the bartenders, but only the oatmeal stout ever has a head. And thankfully, it seems that they've stopped frosting their pint glasses.

Clear, chestnut brown in color beneath a short head of light tan that drops shortly. The nose is gently malty and very mildly fruity. It's medium-light bodied as it should be for the style. Gently toasty malt dominates the flavor with some mild yeasty character. It's well-balanced with a solid bitterness. Overall, a very clean, well-brewed example of the English brown ale style.

This, along with the pale, was my favorite. Faint malty nose with a very lightly toasted edge to it. It was thin as per the house style, but it actually had some depth of flavor. Malt played on light hops and respectable carbonation. A drinkable beer (if it weren’t so damn cold) that I would get again. It doesn’t, however, have anything on Smuttynose’s Old Brown Dog.

pours pretty dark. brown and foamy. smells nutty and sweet.

it is great going down smooth. it was full of sweet malts and some definite nuts going on in the backround. i don't have the experience with nutbrowns to really compare. it was not as good as sam smith's is as much as i can say. it was better than newcastle brown though.
