dark amber with a great fluggy off-white head that will stay with you all the way down. it smells of spice and fruits, an aroma that really gets you into that winter feeling.
the flavor is very sweet, filled with spices and fruits: nutmeg, cinnamon, cranberry, and cherry. malts are at the start with hops kicking in at the end just before a peculiar after taste that just keeps me guessing. it is almost like cold oatmeal, and i really didn't enjoy it al that much. other than that, this beer is wonderful. a fine rich and smooth winter brew, it is almost perfect, but not quite.
