It's nice getting a new brew from New England but neipas usually have to be really fresh as they deteriorate quickly. To get an objective taste one should consume within a month of release.
Just drank a can of Insomniac's dated 11/08/21 and still it scored high, quality.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store just around the corner. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had dank citrus peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright citrus start that turns quickly to peel spice and finishes with a peppery flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

It is nice to suddenly have some great ales in the house. This really is a great one - a total pleasure to drink.

It pours cloudy yellow with nice foam and lacing. The aroma precedes everything, though, as soon as you pop the can. It is skunky, but somehow very compelling. So you smell, then you see the bright yellow, etc. Next, you just have to suck it down and it doesn't disappoint. Loads of fresh bitter hops leave a huge dry finish.

Highly recommended.

Canned 11/10/20, tasted 12/4/20. This was pretty fresh, but didn't have the mouth-watering aroma and flavor that I was hoping for. The look was quite good - an appetizing hazy orange with a low but lingering amount of tight foam. But the smell was muted (it did come out a bit as the beer warmed, but not much), and the taste was good but not excellent, with notes of orange and peach and grapefruit. Nice fluffy mouthfeel, but a bit chalky and powdery in the finish. Definitely a good beer, but not one of the best.

Can from Vinyl Beer on the UES NYC. Pours a hazy yellow gold with two fingers of fully white head that dissipates, nice lacing, smell is potent orange zest, candied orange peel, orange juice concentrate, hints of mango, papaya, overripe stone fruit, and dank white grape must, taste is sweet citrusy orange flesh up front, orange zest, orange hard candy, hints of tropical fruit juice, mild pithy bitter finish, feel is medium bodied, fairly soft carbonation, finishes dry. A pungent zesty candy orange treat! Yum!

Poured from 16oz tall can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Canned 5/8/20.

Appearance: light-yellow hue with lots of haze and a thin finger of frothy eggshell foam atop. Not a ton of head, but a nice, hazy-looking IPA indeed.

Smell: the instant I popped the can I smelled OJ. This thing is orange and grapefruit all the way down; maybe even a hint of pineapple. If this can smells this good at 2.5 months old, it must have been insane when totally fresh.

Taste: ooh, not quite the classic Orange Julius flavor I anticipated. There's orange here, for sure, but also good pineapple and grapefruit, as in the aroma. The base is relatively sweet, but nice, and it's not super bitter. I'd definitely classify this as a NEIPA, and I think it's quite yummy.

Mouthfeel: medium body but with a huge, well-integrated carbonation. Holy crap this is probably the creamiest IPA I've ever encountered. The CO2 all went into the body, instead of being wasted on head.

Overall: what a good beer. Simple, but super well executed. I bet it was murder when fresh.
