Copenhagen 4/12 2025. 47,3 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. A house with light in the windows in a brown twilight-like darkness.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. Bubbly. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet and slightly pastry-like odor mingling with dark alcohol. Brown sugar and toffee. Vanilla. Rum and raisins. Cocoa and dark chocolate.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, oily, soft, fat, creamy, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a boozy searing sensation. Lingering. Finish is sweet with a touch of alcohol.
Wholsome and brilliant.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark, muddy brown pour, silky layer of light brown head. Aroma is Swiss Miss, vanilla, sweet. Taste is chocolate, sweet, cocoa, marshmallow, light coffee notes. Finish is like a cup of hot chocolate. Should have saved this until winter.

16oz. can into a Founders snifter.
Pours thick, dense, oily, and slick. Menacing like motor oil. But very little lace or head. Huge legs though. Nose is chocolate, fudge, vanilla, and iced coffee. Some molasses and syrup as well. I wish the coffee presence was more prominent in this one but as is, its a bit sweet for me. Crazy aromatics though. Beer opens roasty iced coffee, molasses, and chocolate. Fudge, cocoa powder, and a heavy dose of vanilla in the middle. Syrup sweetness with more layers of fudge, sweet cream, and chocolate in the end. Sweetened mocha aftertaste. Full bodied with very little carbonation. Slick, oily and dense on the palate and goes down viscous, thick, and rich. Warm finish and lingering aftertaste. So heavy you can almost chew it.
This is so close! But just a bit too sweet for me. The coffee is real nice but it's overwhelmed for the most part by the vanilla and molasses presence.

My first step into anything Timber. Thank you Short Throw/Timber for the colab.
Look: poured heavy to give slightly more head. Deep dark wonderful beckoning of longing desires.
Smell: Fireside invitation to comfort. Vanilla, chocolate, coffee, mmm moments of cuddly satisfaction.
Taste: embraced by moments of aroused expectations. Blankets of warm tastiness. Ear warming euphoria.
Feel: no comment; I’m knee deep in it
Overall: if I could feel this good every night, I’d renew my vows.
One of the very best stout colabs of 2021.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a jet black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored, somewhat long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.
S: A very enticing aroma of chocolate, coffee, malt, vanilla, and marshmallows.
T: Tasted of a bit of vanilla (a very fleeting presence), a good shot of coffee (a warming element), some malt (not overpowering, but definitely there), a good amount of chocolate (sweet, but never overly cloying), and some marshmallows (definitely sweet). This is a rich, complex, sweet, and powerful stout. Very tasty stuff.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium- to full-bodied.
O: An excellent, well made stout. Drinkable.

Canned 12/09/20, tasted 12/23/20. This was a collaboration with Short Throw Brewing Co. This was really good. Not quite as spot-on as Timber Ales' other imperial stout that I've tried, Chasing Shadows, but still excellent. Super thick and fudgy, with a little bit of graham cracker spiciness and coffee bitterness. The foam was copious and delicious, and the very high ABV was well-hidden, although this is definitely a heavy and potent stout. Try out some of these Timber Ales stouts - they're terrific!
