Canned 5/27/21; drank 9/30/21 @ the Yarchives.

Black appearance.

An even pour yielded a small, noisy dark tan head which quickly dissipated; almost no lace.

Chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup & fresh earth flavors.

Thick, creamy mouthfeel.

Strawberry syrup, chocolate syrup & fresh earth flavors; booze heat asserts itself strongly as this warmed.

Artificial tasting and way too boozy; not one I'll seek out again.

Pours a black no light showing they work a small darker brown head not much lace.

Aroma is chocolate, coffee, hints of strawberry, vanilla good sweetness without being over done.

Taste is sweet roasted malts, coffee lots of chocolate good sweet desert stout. Very smooth creamy and enjoyable only thing I wish was more strawberry all you get are hints, maybe it was on the shelf to long? That being said it's still a pretty solid stout.

Mouthfeel is big medium smooth and creamy carbonation.

Overall a desent desert stout loads of creamy chocolate just wishing for more strawberry.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a half finger light brown head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, strawberry, cocoa, coffee; lightly vegetal and boozy. Flavor is dark toasted malt, coffee, bakers chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Coffee and strawberry finish. Medium bodied with silky, moderate creaminess. A very well made, balanced pastry-ish stout, with a wonderful malt base and great coffee and chocolate notes. Strawberry is deftly handled; I'm on the fence about fruit in stouts, but glad I gave this one a shot. Strawberry is forward in the aroma, but nicely integrated into the flavor, giving a light, distinct flavor to a stout that otherwise showed off classic pastry coffee and chocolate. Very flavorful and great mouth feel. Well done.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid little imperial pours a
deep obsidian with a nice head of brown foam that fades to a thin ring,
subtle dusty layer, and sports some nice light lacing. Nose of dark chocolate,
vanilla cream, faint char, deep roast, and subtle astringent booze notes. Flavors
surpass the nose and present the missing piece to a grand puzzle. Dark sweet
chocolate, vanilla, cream, and mellow strawberry with a nice touch of char
and brulee amidst a light astringent booze note. Nice mouth feel for such a
beast. Rich, smooth, coating, velvet smooth in fact, light carbonation, and finishing
sweet and warming without being overly cloying on the palate.

All in all....a mighty fine dessert stout!

Cheers
