Pours thick and inky looking- it's about as dark as it gets. The head is composed of super-fine bubbles that are like coffee with cream color, maybe towards mocha. It doesn't last and leaves no trace, but the liquid has legs.

It smells of sweet, rich chocolate and loads of premium coffee with a bit of nuttiness. Maybe a faint whiff of toasted coconut and a bit of vanilla.

the smell and first sip - it's making me think of a Swiss Chocolate Almond ice cream sundae (New England natives - set the way back machine for Friendlies around 1975...) but made with added coffee ice cream.

The flavor opens with big chocolate and maybe even bigger coffee. Its rich, fudgie, coffee in a glass. The coconut is a supporting cast member - it's there, but secondary. Slight nuttiness comes through. Bit of vanilla and a peppery almost licorice flavor in the aftertaste along with the chocolate and coffee that jever hides. There's a measure of actual stout - some dark cherry, a wee bit of charry malt, and a little leather/tobacco. It's sweet but not insanely sweet.

This is thiiiiiick...it's heavy, nearly syrupy. Decadent and stupid smooth. Alcohol does give some warming.

I like it and love the flavors. It's pretty straightforward - delivers what it says it will. In my opinion, the thickness of texture mutes the flavors but I'm not sure if that's a bad thing, maybe keeping things on check. It's a dessert-style sipper, it's very good, but I wouldn't buy it again.

L: Pours dark chocolate, motor-oil, forming a moderate mocha head that is slow to fade. An aggregation of bubbles forms in the center of the glass and a fairly frothy ring of lacing around the edge. Held to the light, it has an opaque fudgy hue.

S: Dark chocolate, roasted malts, coconut, brown sugar, vanilla, and trace coffee.

T: Follows the nose. Plenty of dark fudge, vanilla, and coconut. Hints of coffee and roasted malt imparting some bitterness to balance the sweet beginning. Light char and burnt sugar and some heat in the finish.

F: Smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Lingers on the tongue with some decent carbonation. Somewhat heavy. Medium- to full-bodied, biased towards full.

O: This is a very well-made dessert stout. Not too sweet, with a well-hidden ABV.

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, thin ring of beige head. Fudgy aroma, coffee, chocolate. Taste is sweet, bitter, toasty, chocolate. Smooth with a latent bitterness. Creamy, smooth. Really tasty, ABV not that noticable.

Recommended big stout from James at One Stop Beer Shop in Greece/suburban Rochester NY. A collab between Fidens and Timber.
Wow. So in my wheel house. A huge Imp Stout loaded with coffee, almond, chocolate and a well measured amount of coconut.
Hadbeen wary this might be an Almond Joy brew… and it is definitely a sweet stout. But rather than candy this has rich Swiss Chocolate with what seems unbalanced almond giving it a good counter balance of bitterness. The coffee is foundational and the coconut not dominant; rather more an enhancement. It’s a bit like a sweet milk stout on steroids lovingly balanced with the adjuncts. It is a full bodied velvety sipper. Definitely a desert stout but it also has leather, dark dried fruits in forefront.
Completely unexpected and marvelously enjoyable sitting on back deck with a good Habana. Understand not for everyone…but for me …a spot on recommendation.
Delicious, and hope I can grab a few more next trip up to Western/Central NY. If anything … wish my smoke was a Maduro.

Great pour. Thick, rich, creamy head that sticks.

Nose is fine, nothing too strong coming through.

Delicious beer. Great mouthfeel, on the thick side, coffee is very present, not so much the coconut.

Another top notch stout through Timber Ales.

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my snifter. Beer has been in my cellar for slightly over a year. But date stamp is actually 9/01/2021. Oops. I suspect it will be fine.
The beer pours a coffee black color with a dark tan fizzy head of 1.5 cm. This foam is very short lived and fades to a very thin edge layer and this leaves some scattered lattice after each sip.
The aroma on this beer is sweet and malty. I get dark sweet chocolate and fudge brownie notes mixing with some light vanilla and toasted coconut notes. Never any hints of any hop or ABV on this beer.
First sip reveals a pretty thick body with silky smooth texture and very fine sort of tingly carbonation.. Drinks like a big stout on the physical traits, which makes this a bit of a sipper.
Flavor follows what the nose advertises for this beer. Lots of deep chocolate notes and fudge up front, moves to vanilla and toasted coconut flavors and the vanilla lingers after each swallow. Here I also get some warming alcohol that lingers after each sip. Still no hop profile on this beer anywhere.
This is a bold and pretty sweet stout. I enjoy it, but may not buy another one due to the sweetness.

Poured into a snifter - extremely jet black pour with very dark foam appearing at the top.
Getting aromas of sweet bakers chocolate mixed in with some coconut. Getting some almond and vanilla as it warms/ settles into the glass.
Flavor is insanely good! Sweet toasted coconut with bakers chocolate, almond, vanilla. Jeez this is amazing.
Feel is thick and easy to sip. ABV hides quite well in this. The abv kicks in when it warms a bit towards the end of the taste.
Overall I'm gonna be revisiting this soon and buy more as it's an amazing stout. Definitely a must try!

From a 16 fl. oz. can dated 1/20/23. Sampled June 3, 2023.

Jet black pour with no clarity under a foamy, boisterous dark tan head. Awesome appearance.

The aroma is dark roasted chocolate malts, which make me think of chocolate milk. I also get almonds, milk, and coconut.

Full mouthfeel. About as heavy as it can get.

The taste us uber-sweet with its chocolate, dark malts, and coconut characters. Little to no bitterness at the end. Lingering sweetness. Not something I would have often but they carried this off very well.
