This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like creamy coconut candy, almond paste, dark fruit, spiced bourbon, vanilla, nuttiness, dark chocolate, and coffee.
This is nearly perfect pastry work, in terms of adding flavors that are the star of the show, but don't completely overwhelm everything else. As the beer warms, the coconut becomes even creamier tasting, kind of like some sort of coconut cream frosting. The almonds are well done too, toasty and lightly sweet. There's still a lot of barrel to be found alongside the coconut and almond flavors here. There's caramel, nuttiness, and spice, alongside a light bourbon flavor.
This is thick, creamy, and super drinkable, with very little booziness here.
Timber Ales is making some of the most exciting stouts in the country right now. This is super tasty.
