This Imperial Stout, which is a collaboration with our friends from Barclay Brewing was aged 20-months in Weller barrels before being condition on toasted and non-toasted coconut.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like heavy roast, espresso, toasted coconut, spicy oak, and dark chocolate.
This mostly a tremendous barrel aged stout, moreso than a pastry stout, and I like that dichotomy. The toasted coconut is well done, and adds a nice toasty dimension to the burly stout base – roasty, slightly smokey, and extremely heavy on the dark chocolate in a great way. There’s lots of oak, some bittersweet vanilla, caramel, and bourbon.
This is medium bodied, creamy, and spicy, with a little bit of booziness.
Timber continues to make some of my absolute favorite barrel aged stouts in the game.
