12 ounce can, Julian Date of 24072 (March 12, 2024) stamped on the bottom of the can. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a Teku glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head that stuck around a long time. There's also a decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like blueberries, maple, vanilla, coffee and some roasted malt. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma but with a little more of a punch, and there's also some burnt/charred flavors noticeable too. Definitely sweet tasting though! Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and a bit creamy with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, worth trying especially if you like pastry stouts!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This unique brew pours a pitch black with a
very nice head of brown foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin clumping layer,
and displays some nice lacing. Nose of blueberry, coffee, vanilla, maple, cream,
and subtle char. Flavors follow the nose with coffee, subtle cream, light vanilla,
maple, and rich blueberry with a dash of dark chocolate. Mouth feel is full, smooth,
coating, light carbonation, and a sweet tilting towards cloying finish.
Overall, a unique brew and a good one for a splitter / end of a session.
Cheers

Nearly black body topped with a modest tan head. Aroma: maple syrup, blueberries, vanilla & buttered pancakes. Very, very sweet but that’s not a bad thing in my book. Flavors: plenty of maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, blueberries. Lactose & sweet grain. Silky smooth but virtually flan, no carbonation or alcohol detected. Overall: excellent, a perfect mixture of stout & pancakes.

Strong in flavor yet moderate in alcohol impact, Timber Ales shows that you don't have to be strong to be strong.
Showing its aromatic might, Blueberry Pancakes by Campfire swoons the nose with the savory scent of maple, dark berry, campfire and coffee that hover over a creamy tan from and a darker coffee-like body. Expectedly sweet, the early palate sets in with maple, molasses, chocolate and butter pecan in a sweet but savory upstart.
Without wavering from its sweeter tendencies, the middle palate also invites the taste of dark roast coffee, roasting nuttiness and a hint of smoke to help balance the sweetness and give a rise to a more earthy counterpart to malt sugars. Very light in bitterness, the session remains chocolaty and candied in true pastry fashion as the session comes to a berry nice closure.
Full in body and with a hint of kahlua, the somber stout shines with blueberries especially in a long and pastry-like finish.

The pour was stout black with a trace of light brown head that dissipated to nothing and left no lacing.
Aroma was likely blueberry and sweet syrup but I wouldn’t know as Covid took my sense of smell.
The taste was surprisingly good, the blueberry and syrup are distinct and not artificial tasting. The coffee took a bit of looking but I finally found it.
The feel gave the impression of syrup without being syrupy. Rather viscous and smooth. Some carbonation might have been good but it was tasty as it was.
This is one of the best lower ABV pastry stouts I have ever had, just not a style that I seek out very often.

12oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of maple, coffee, blueberry and sweet chocolate. Sweet blueberry, maple and chocolate with roasted coffee and a mild bitterness.
