16 ounce can, julian date of 24047 (Feb 16, 2024) stamped on the bottom of the can. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like vanilla, coffee, roasted malt, cassia bark/cinnamon and earthiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some licorice and burnt/charred malt flavors noticeable too. Smells a bit sweeter than it tastes, but with that being said it is a sweeter tasting brew but not overpowering at all. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's a bit rich and creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, definitely worth trying if you get the chance!

Very tasty gift from my BiL, thank you! The vanilla and cassia bark work well together and the coffee is nice in a supporting role. The dry, heavily roasted base manages to shine through as well. Truthfully, this is not one I would have bought myself but I'm very glad I got to try it. Top notch.

Gorgeous pour. Deep color, great big head that slowly dissipates and clings a bit.
Nice nose, hints of vanilla and bark?
Smooth, exceptional and delicious. Not too sweet at all, and a very interesting mix of flavors.
Outstanding.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid little imperial pours a pitch black with a
nice head of brown foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some
light lacing. Nose of cinnamon, dark roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate notes,
subtle char, and vanilla. Flavors surpass the nose with coffee, dark chocolate, rich
cinnamon toast notes, subtle maple, brewers licorice, vanilla cream, and moderate char.
Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich, warming, coating, light carbonation, and a cinnamon
laced coffee finish that is moderately bitter on the malt side of things.
Overall, a solid little imperial!
Cheers

16oz can from Tavour. Black pour, fluffy brown head. Aroma is root beer and cinnamon. Cinnamon is stronger in the taste, and coffee pops out as well. Spiced hot cocoa in the wintertime. Not getting much of the vanilla.

L: Pours a near-black, very dark chocolate that forms a relatively thin head, dark chestnut colored, which fades fairly quickly. There is a faint effervescence percolating on the top, and a thin tan ring hugging the edge of the snifter. Held to the light, this beer has a nutty, fudge-like hue, rich and opaque.
S: Aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, and vanilla, with some fainter notes of malt and caramel.
T: Follows the nose - strong medium roast coffee and dark chocolate, a bit of bourbon barrel, roasted malts. A faint char that lends some astringency, along with some earthy bark. There is a hint of dark fruit and molasses, and perhaps some maple syrup that balances this out. Finishes bitter with some warmth.
F: Medium- to full-bodied, bias towards full. Warm, rich, and thick - coating and almost chewy. Light carbonation, some distinctive alcohol burn. Very smooth.
O: Very strong American Imperial Stout, good flavor profile and aromas and a decent body. There are no true weak spots with this beer. The ABV is very well-concealed, yet the beer manages to maintain a nice boozy burn to it. Look forward to more from this brewery.
