This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like caramelized and roasted banana, milk chocolate fudge, cinnamon candy, vanilla, and lots of oak.
This isn’t the absolute best from Timber, but it’s still pretty solid. The cinnamon and banana are pretty strong, and tasty, but clash slightly, and make this beer a little bit too intense and sweet. This is very fudgy, and not quite roasty enough, with not really enough barrel to balance things out.
This is medium bodied, slightly too thick and syrupy, but not very boozy.
I’ve always tended to like Timber’s non-“adjuncted” stouts or barleywines much more than their pastry.
