Bright & zingy. Real fruit. Soft mouthfeel.

Someday Sour Beers are fabulously refreshing beers with real fruit flavours bursting through. Super easy on the palate with a soft body and very low bitterness.

Someday shines with bright and zingy acidity, balanced with soft and pillowy pale and wheat malts.

The Blood Orange bursts onto the centre stage, delivering layers of flavour and refreshment.

Christmas gift in 2022. Drunk in July 2023.

L: Bright, golden-yellow in the glass. Almost no head. Medium-sized bubbles ascend in a large, centralised column.

S: Smells like orange-flavoured vitamin C tablets or weak orange soda. Lactic and tangy. Would have expected more nose from a fruited sour.

T: Taste is mild orange soda, with a medium, sour, lactic bite at the end. Almost no discernable bitterness. The aftertaste is long and sweet.

F: Mouthfeel is full while the carbonation is mild, and much more so than I had expected. Carbonic prickle is minimal. Leaves me salivating after each mouthful, which compels me to go back for more.

O: I'm not a fan of kettle sours so am forcing myself to be neutral in my comments and mark to style. As sour beers go this one is on the mild end of the spectrum and would be an excellent drink to offer someone who claims to not like beer but drinks fruity pre-mixes or cocktails, and if that gets them on the road to drinking other beer then that's a good thing, but it's hardly a marketing strategy or one that will lead to a long production run. The thing is, I suspect beer drinkers who like to drink sours will be chasing a more extreme sour hit than this, so I'm not sure where the market is for this type of beer.

Cheers!
