Agostini Pils, named for the man that created the style and for legendary Italian motorcycle racer Giacomo Agostini, is an Italian-style dry-hopped pilsner. At 5.0% ABV and 40 IBUs, this beer has a solid platform for allowing the German and Slovian hops used in it to shine.

Huge head that bursts from the ca. Smell is light and sweet. Grassy hops, bread dough, and spice mostly. Taste follows. Mostly grassy hops upfront along with a bit of tropical sweetness, not super bitter. Then comes a very abrupt shift to cracker malt with some doughy notes, and then back to hops on the finish. Lots of carbonation, a bit of a chalky mouthfeel after a sip, very dry finish.
It’s a really good beer, though I might prefer a bit more bitterness from the hops.

drier than their original pils, maybe slightly less hoppy in terms of flavor, but its bitter and crisp, just slightly odd on the yeast side to me, like short of soapy but kind of doughy with some esters in it, not what i was expecting in this style, just much more from the yeast overall than is common in them, and to me it kind of slows this down on the drinkability side, its just a weird layer that doesnt really need to be there but ends up kind of defining this. very very pale beer, washed out yellow in the glass, tons of carbonation, looks lighter than it drinks though. the nose is noble hops and minerals, some bread yeast, and just a light crackery grain base. the flavor is driven by the ferment, not by the hops, which is not what i have come to expect in this style, not that it isnt hoppy still, but in the taste they are mostly bitter and in the back, is the yeast that is foremost. overall this is drinkable and unique, not a wonderful example of the style i dont reckon, but a cool lager nevertheless, and i appreciate that the yeast profile is unique, its not just the same european lager that everyone else is doing, and if it is, the conditions must be quite radical to get to it show up like this. it took me a minute to get there, but i ended up liking this pretty well.

Grassy, bready, malty. The hop bite is subdued and in a different place in the mouth from most pilsners. No modern hops, seems old-fashioned.
God, I love it. Even among Von Ebert's array of fine pilsners, this one stands out.

That’s fun and crisp. Light golden and clear body. Frothy two finger head. Light lemon, crisp crackery Pilsner malt, mild zest and moderate floral bite. Medium bodied, quite crisp and really hits the spot. The dry hopping is not quite Tipo level.

Pours a white-gold in the glass, with a generous head of foam. The foam dissipates easily, leaving behind some nice lacing. Lightly hopped, with some earthy and spicy notes. There’s a grassy, earthy hop kick to this, with a dry finish.

Can from ABV.

A clear light orange with a dense white head with excellent retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is plenty hoppy, clearly pilsner like but with enough of an accent to give you pause. Along with the usual lemon and earth notes, there's also an oily citrus note, bright and clean, present. A slightly more rustic than usual malt character, still very doughy, is present. The palate opens with a blend of doughy sweetness and an unbelievably crisp and snappy hop character. Sharp, laser focused with lemon, orange zest, earth and with just enough dough to balance it, this is very tasty. Drying, mildly bitter on the finish with a crisp, clean, long lasting bitterness, this is excellent on the palate. Highly recommended.
