Had on tap. Somewhat cloudy pale golden body with two fingers of white foam. Big grapefruit, orange zest, resinous pine leading the nose, with lemon pith and honey in the background. Taste is much the same, some dankness and more defined malt are present here, not as clean/focused as the nose. Feel is medium bodied but slightly thins through the sip, hops are the star in texture with sharp and resinous leading.

my first hoppy beer from these guys, for some reason i totally thought they were a lager house, so it was cool to find this one on tap. its rather clear, simcoe and strata driven, supported by chinook, its plenty bitter, simple on the grain side but not all that light, and very well executed, clean on the ferment and bubbly, its not radical beer but its really nicely done, and i like the strata hops with the others, to me this varietal is at its best when it has some friends rounding it out, and that aspect of this is excellent. a honey note to the malt, lightly sweet for a second but drier later, the linger is hop bitterness and oils, not grain sweetness. the hops give aromas and flavors of pineapple, pear, bitter orange, and clover, herbal and fruity at the same time, but somewhat aggressive too which i like in an ipa, this is pretty full spectrum, even some pine as it warms, and definitely a resinous feel to the hops too. pretty fresh overall, balanced, and flavorful. i am excited to learn that these guys make all kinds of beers that arent lagers, looking forward to drinking through more of their stuff! so far everything has been real good and i am stoked to have them for sale in idaho now!

16 oz can to go from Westside Taphouse in West Salem OR
$4
Pours a clearish golden coloured body with a very large rocky/frothy off white head.
Aromas seem to be mainly of the citrus variety. Lemon zest, orange , tangerine...but nice.
Taste much the same but there is some deeper Oregon dank notes to balance out the citrus fruits.
Nice lively well carbonated mouth feel..easy on the tongue. Nice finish.
A very nice regular IPA.
