Canned 22 Oct, purchased at Uptown Market.

A clear straw yellow queen a dense white head with good retention and lacing. The nose has a nice straw and lemony hop character. A touch of grass. The palate opens soft and doughy with honey, straw, a little biscuit to go with lemon and grass. Drying, soft, mildly lemony on the finish. Light in body. Softly carbonated. Solid.

16-ounce can purchased at Uptown Beer Company. Canned on 10/22/20. Poured into a nonic half pint.

Note:
$1 from each can will be donated to the United Way Columbia/Willamette to help with recovery from the 2020 forest fires. 33 Stars uses only Oregon-grown malts and hops, from Goschie Farms in Silverton.

Look:
Light gold and crystal clear, capped with bright white foam that dissipates quickly.

Smell:
Leads with doughy, bready malt with herbal hops in the background. Clean and noble.

Taste:
A zesty pop of citrus at the start leads into very nice bready malt flavors. The malt persists through the dry finish. The aftertaste is long, with firm bitterness and a hint of sweet malt.

Feel:
Light body with moderate carbonation. Lacks the softness of the best examples of the style.

Overall:
Von Ebert 33 Stars Oregon Pilsner is a clean, well-made German-style pilsner with good Sterling hop flavor and aroma. Crisp, satisfying, and serves a good cause. If you see it, grab it while it's still fresh enough to enjoy.
