more of a session type, clear and fresh from the tap, definitely on the edge of being pale ale too, well made like all their stuff is, to me a little fresher here in idaho than some of their other hoppy offerings have been, probably more a sign of distributor progress than a reflection of the brewery, but this smells and tastes newish to me. there is a mosaic overtone to this, but the rest of the hop bill remains in a zone between fruity and herbal, at times flashing noble botanical vibes and at others more classic citrus, its clean though, zero from the ferment, and light in texture and fast finishing at the same time, making it a real ripper. its not quite dry and isnt irrelevant on the grain side, cereal earthiness behind white sugar enhancement of the hops. west coast sure, but modern in a universal sort of way. the hop profile is pretty distinct, the carbonation makes it a fast drinker even with the moderate body for the strength, and the overall quality here is high. nice stuff from a brewery who seems to be establishing themselves mighty quickly. this is good, its all been good...
