Draft at Beaverton taproom. Clear, medium golden, wispy head with ring, spotty lacing. Fruity aroma, light orange-y notes. Taste is sweet and citrusy, oranges

yet another brewer jumping in on the cold ipa train, and why not, the style is on fire and these are good, essentially just bringing back west coast ipa with clean neutral yeast profiles although often less bitterness than we all remember. this is a nice one, although less interesting than the best of them. high shine radiant clarity, yellow gold color with a spirited white head from the tap, looks awesome, looks like pils. the simcoe hops dominate this, its piney and grapefruit pithy and a little more bold than the rest of the beer seems to be able to handle, but its not way off to me, its close, just a little aggressive for missing any kind of malt structure. the malt flavor is minimal too, and this is very dry, so the hops kind of start standing out really early, and there is some oiliness that heavies it a little bit, but lets be honest, this is crisp like a lager and still so light, they did a nice job getting close to the old india pale lager thing here, lager yeast or not, and it drinks refreshing even with all the hop intensity. some mosaic pineapple character emerges as it warms, but i hardly let it. i love the briskness, the effervescence, and overall they really nailed the texture. the simcoe is maybe a tiny bit exposed, but thats being petty and on the whole this is another great hoppy release from these guys. long live the cold ipa, i am a fan!

On tap at Belmont Station.

A clear light orange with a dense white head. The nose is tropical fruit overload. Papaya, mango, melon, fruit massiveness.
