Not really a stout person but this is decent. Don't like the coffee flavor and I don't like high IBUs in anything but IPAs and then the more the better.

Clear dark brown brew with abundant foam in the Saxo glass. Chocolate aroma with roasted grain. Smooth and sudsy. Very dark roast with a touch of sugar and a modest char. Very smooth and malty. I'd call it an Export Stout kind of taste, but more mellow I suppose. Overall this is a better than average medium-sized stout. Some elements of the Imperial style but more drinkable. From the 16 oz can purchased at the city beer store. Batch p-2163.

16 oz can, dated 3/15/23, just picked up t the brewery earlier tonight
Pours black with tan colored head which eventaully fades. Big aroma of roasty chocolate and coffee mixed with hops. Similar taste, definitely a hoppy stout. Medium bodied.

Pint at the Westside Taphouse in West Salem Oregon.
$7.00
Pours pitch black, with a small tan head.
Sweet chocolate and roasted malts aroma. Pleasing.
Taste more bitter dark chocolate and French roast coffee. Some lactose and a bit of dried figs.
Nice well carbonated mouth feel. Finished dry.
Nice regular American Stout.

What @liquidamber said. Very accurate description in his review.
A-Dark enough that you only get light penetration in direct sunlight
S-Toasted malts, char, coffee (like cold brew sorta coffee)
T-Cascadian Dark Ale meets export stout. Below average sweet, above average bitter. Right in my preferred flavor profile wheelhouse.
M-Medium (-) body, above avg carbonation, nice chewy smooth finish
O-I need to go snatch some more of this before it's gone. My first beer from Von Ebert and hoping it won't be my last/only from them.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a nice, three finger dark khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cocoa, coffee and citrus hops. Flavor is dark toasted malt with moderate charr, coffee, bakers chocolate and some light grassy and citrus hops in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. This was a pleasant surprise all around. First, the aroma had some significant herbal hop notes in it and I was half expecting a Cascadian/black IPA profile (which would be fine with me). The taste, however, was a nice roasty stout with good chocolate and coffee flavors. Then the hops kicked back in to play in the finish. Not enough to get into IPA territory, but forward enough to complement the roasty character of the base malt. Very impressive flavor depth from a moderate ABV stout. I really like this one a lot and hope it's not a waning offering. I'd like to see it again. Von Ebert has been a consistently pleasant brewery to try new beer from.
