Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of lightly caramel malt, piney and citrus hops, orange, lemon, light pine, light mixed tropical fruit and a little dankness. Flavor is pale malt, piney, dank and citrus hops, pine needles, mixed tropical and light stone fruit, orange, a little grapefruit and dankness developing in the finish with linger pine. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. Always on the lookout for WC IPAs and this one is a good choice. A bit lighter in color density than usual and the flavor starts more like a pale ale, but both malt and hops kick in quickly and leave a great lingering bitterness and piney dankness. Sadly, everything is now seems to be a one-off, but I'd get this again if it sticks around; a solid West Coast IPA as advertised. Don't know the collaborating Comrade Brewing, but will be watching for them.
