Taster at brewery. Cloudy amber pour, small off-white head. Light malty aroma. Taste leans on the malts too, sweet, light caramel. Oily, mouth coating.

a sturdy drinking ipa here for its modest abv, i didnt find it overly hazy, more unfiltered looking, and sort of copper tinted in the dimming light of a mid fall evening, maybe a little murk to it, decent white head from the keg. aroma here shows balance, less of a massive dry hop profile than the hazy beers of the region tend to have, and a bit more of an old school malt base, which is to say some medium crystal type malt in the mix, nothing wrong with that, especially this time of year. i like the freshness, i get some light pine needle character to it, orange zest but not overly fruity, and some bitterness too, which shows up in the flavor. some bready support from the grain but never sweet, a bold even dank northwestern hop profile to me, woodsy and pungent, and with a snappy finish, clean ferment. good carbonation, bigger medium body for its lower abv, light minerals as it warms, some oiliness to the texture too, bright citrus and herbal freshness on the finish. i have been pretty neutral on the beers from here for the most part, and this didnt totally blow me away either, but its well rounded and enjoyable, more bitter than a lot of hazy types but ot green and overdone either, which i find flattering with this grain build. perhaps slightly generic overall.
