solid little gose here done with local salt, tons of tropical fruit, and vanilla. on the edge of too much, but the salt and sour make it right, acid cutting the sweet peach and mango flavors, and enhancing the the other fruity elements, the salt drying out the wheaty grain base and adding a savory counterpoint to the rich vanilla, these two aspects save this from the over fruited way too modern kind of sloppy dessert beer realm this keeps trying to flirt with, but there is balance in all this flavor, each element adds a layer, and it works, maybe as a happy accident, maybe by design, tough to tell based on the rest of their lineup, but this hit pretty right on a hot and muggy summer afternoon, very tropical, not too much vanilla, and still a gose at its core, although im not sure how amazing it would be without all these adds. i could use a little less body and a little more carbonation, but this is mass appeal sour, should be agreeable to most palates with the tempered pucker and all the fruit for balance. not the kind of beer i really care about, in a sense they are a had one had them all genre right now, but this was one of the more ambitious and also better executed offerings...
