Description From Brewery - Brewed in collaboration with Pretentious Beer Company in Knoxville, TN, this imperial stout is thoughtfully blended with 100% cocoa nibs, cinnamon and ancho chiles to create a unique explosion of chocolate with a subtle amount of heat. Complex and full bodied, this is a great beer to indulge on your next camping trip!
I agree with the description whole heartedly. Each of the adjuncts stand out in their own unique way and don't get lost. You have the wave of smoky cocoa, zip of cinnamon and finish of subtle heat. Keeps you wanting another sip.
Couple things - This beer is semi-viscous but not as thick/sludgy as I usually really like & what I expect from an Impy Stout; perhaps just a labeling gripe. Definitely not as Hot as Bomb! or Cinnamon forward as Abraxas....those two plus Mexican Cake are on much higher levels but for a $15 4-pack this presses all the right buttons.
