When you want to showcase the best of newer, more tropical hops but you don't want to make a hazy IPA, the answer is to make a "juicy" IPA. -one that borrows elements of drier IPA for drinkability but with a touch of haze to elevate hop flavor and aroma might be the best of both worlds.

Albright Grove's Walden's Ridge IPA is such and ale that kicks off with a glowing light straw appearance, somewhat milky in its look, the beer rises with a persistent stark white froth. With the citronella scent of citrus, tropical and herbal aromas abounding, the slight doughy scent of malt offers a softer side. Sweeter in its first sips, the lightness of honeysuckle, wafer and cereal gives early impressions a creamy sweetness.

As the hops unfold on the middle palate, the abundance of citrus reveals nuanced tangerine, lemon, pink grapefruit and lime while a more tropical taste of passionfruit, pineapple, young mango and papaya keep the fruit flavors going in a more exotic and racy direction. Trending herbal with a green tea influence, verbena, botanical grasses, fresh spruce and sassafras.

Medium bodied and trending drier and lighter, the early creaminess falls away to allow the ale to finish with a snappy refreshment and a medium length aftertaste of tropical fruit peels, hemp and a gin-like spice. Its a refreshing beer that favors the greener aspects of hops.
