Reasonably attractive, with a dense, if transient, head and supple haziness. Remarkable in its lack of hops on the nose. I detected almost nothing after a robust pour. That’s a shame, because the taste and mouthfeel are pleasant, if not exceptional. I’m sorry to say this slightly overpriced local product won’t make the rotation.

I tried a pint of this beer off the tapper at Walk Ons in Houma, Louisiana. It poured a slightly hazy golden with white head that left some lace. The scent had subtle citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base and smooth slightly bitter citrus finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

First Pitch has a thin, white head, a hazy yellow-gold appearance, and a lacing sheen. The aroma is of citrus fruit and white bread. The flavor is similar with low-to-moderate bitterness. The body is medium, and First Pitch finishes medium dry.

Initial gut reaction to my first 16 fl oz pull-tab can:
Hop profile is underwhelming. Doesn't showcase Citra well, and its Sabro dominance doesn't do it any favors.
The oats aren't helping it unless you count an unnecessary oat addition for appearance only to be a net positive.
Meh...
