16 oz can, no date on the bottom, into Prairie Rastal Glass.
Pours a color not unlike a Watermelon Jolly Rancher. Opaque with some light shining through as if you held it up to the florescent lights in your 6th grade classroom. Pink fingernail of head.
Wow. Strawberry puree and strawberry milkshake come out swinging in this aroma. Lots of tart strawberries with the sweetness of a vanilla milkshake. Still some lactic bacteria qualities as well. I dig.
Flavor is tart and sour strawberry, fruit by the foot, a bitter sawdust edge, slight bubble gum, and then sour culture. Super sour beer. Not quite as glorious as it smells but it's still very enjoyable. A sipper due to the sourness.
Feel is light, crisp, and hella puckering. You will make faces while you drink this beer. Alcohol heat is nowhere to be found, which is great. Carbonated, puckering finish.
Overall a pretty solid first beer for me from Rally Cap. The sourness kinda gets in the way of the enjoyment, but the flavor is there. I haven't looked to see if I bought anything else from them on my last trip, but I wouldn't be disappointed if I did. Recommended for true sour fans.
