Pours a murky, essentially opaque orange color. Fizzy, soda like head fleetingly forms on the beer for fizzling away leaving no residual head.
Aroma has notes of coffee, vanilla, sweet toffee, and some lightly roasted malts. I honestly am not sure I would know this was a "golden" milk stout if I couldn't see the beer in the glass.
Taste is entirely unexpected. There is coffee and vanilla painted on a sweet malt backbone, but there is this tangy, kind of off note to the beer that I just can't shake. It is found on the back end and just lingers with this off twang.
Feel is extremely fizzy and soda like, but with more body than a soda.
Overall this beer kept a streak alive for me - I have yet to find a golden/white stout I liked. Maybe there is something odd with this can, but either way, it was not one I would want to drink again.
