Poured at fridge temp from a can. Pours a nice golden yellow (slightly murky) with about an inch of white fluffy head. The look is very comparable to a tripel from Belgium, although I expected the head to be more voluminous and stick around for longer.
The nose is wonderful. Orange, slight clove, slight cinnamon, biscuits, bread, and a slight caramel candy.
The taste nicely follows the nose. Very malty. Lemon cake, slight apple, slight leathery bitterness, caramel, hay, and orange. Very very nice!
The mouthfeel is fairly light and dry. The aftertaste is lemon cookies and a touch of sweet candy. Overall, I'm very impressed by this take on the tripel. Although the ABV is a bit lower than some of the big tripels from Belgium, the flavor is still impressively strong. Definitely worth picking up if you are in Vancouver.

Close your eyes and you’d be hard pressed to pick out from the highest ranks of classic Belgian tripels. Round fruity esters and candi sugar, with some lingering, spicey, alcohol heat. Delicious.
