Breakfast parfait sour ale with blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, vanilla, lactose, and honey granola.

Inspired by those delicious morning fruit parfaits. Lactose sugar and Papua New Guinea vanilla beans provide a creamy canvas for layers of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and honey granola.

16 FLUID OUNCE can
Served in a stemless wine glass

This beer pours plum colored and is topped with a fleeting pink head.

I find it odd that the honey granola is the first thing that I smell. The vanilla comes through. The berries are more subtle in the aroma than expected.

Blueberry and raspberry lead that flavor. The granola comes in the middle. The raspberry lends a nice tartness. The vanilla adds some perceived sweetness. i don't notice any strawberry.

Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel

Good beer. I get the fruit parfait vibe.

16oz can. Can bottom is stamped '03/10/21', for canning date.
Brilliant crimson red colored body, with opaque view. One finger of pinkish head quickly disappears, leaving an active surface show of rising bubbles. No lacing.
Aroma of fruit with honey granola. Blueberry and strawberry mostly, with a hint of raspberry.
Taste is dense for a kettle sour. Layers of the different fruits (leading with blueberry and strawberry, with a trailing raspberry) along with granola and sugar. Some tartness but also quite sweet. Fruit and granola merge together in the aftertaste.
Less than medium mouth feel, but with some syrup. Very good carbonation.
Very tasty and aromatic kettle sour. Still not as complex as a barrel conditioned sour, but quite impressive. Very good recipe.

Very good head production even from a careful pour. Decent retention. Body is a deep, dark, purplish red, dominated more by the raspberry than the strawberry. For a "parfait sour," it's not nearly as thick or pulpy as you might expect.

Nose is primarily berry-driven, along with a slightly earthy creaminess. Very few distinct or specific notes, although the blueberry does stand out a bit above the berry mix.

Very berry-forward on the palate; it takes quite a bit of time through the sip for any vanilla or granola presence to come through. Sharp, acidic, bright, and fruity. The strawberry comes out perhaps weakest on the palate, with the blueberry and raspberry combining to carry the load. Not overly sweet. Other flavors include orange pith and peel, oat, cream, a touch of pungent earthiness, and lightly toasted caramel.

While you can't expect much creaminess for a 6% beer, for a lactose sour aiming at replicating a breakfast parfait, I expected more. There is a nice sting about the gums and a moderate pucker; while the sourness is berry-driven, it's quite nice. As a breakfast sour, it definitely works.

Pours a murky blueberry/raspberry color with a thin head. Smell is fresh fruit with a cinnamon granola mix. Taste is fresh fruit mix of blueberries, strawberries and raspberries , mix in cinnamon granola and vanilla ,very nice . A tart and fruity mouth feel with some sweetness in finish. Outstanding.
