12 ounce bottle, with hand written label, "Chocolate Stout."
Pours out dark brown and sits near black with deep reddish hues along the sides of the glass. Small, off-white head retreats to the sides of the glass with some lacings.
Rich chocolatey aroma laden with caramel, raspberries, raisins, figs and prunes. Mild hippy overtones.
Slightly sweet and intensely chocolatey. Rich, sugary caramel melds in creating a profile reminicient of Angel's food candy. Slightly port-wine like with a mildly bitter and sweet, lingering finish.
Full bodied, smooth, creamy and, did I say rich? Mild carbonation suits the beer well.
Very tasty and full of flavor. Too bad this was just a one-off batch.
