A-Deep, almost black, ruby brown with a thin tan head that reduced to nothing.
S-Faint roasty malt, not a whole lot going on.
T-Pleasant initial smack of roasted malt. Nice burnt notes with an aftertaste of hop bitterness, solid.
M-Medium body with a good robustness and solid feel.
D-Thoroughly enjoyable. A nice surprise at a place that offers mainly pedestrian brews. This one has merit.

On tap at the Fox River Brewery, this brew had a dark brown color with a white head that left some lacing. The brew has a nice nutty aroma with hints of roasted coffee and some chocolate. The taste was nothing like the smell. This beer was over powered with the burnt flavor of malts. There was almost no chocolate flavor and the body was a little thin. Not a good example of a porter.

This beer pours a dark black with a light brown head. It smells delicious. It has a chocolate roasty nose with some coffee hints in there too. The taste follows the nose. It's flavor is roasty with touches of chocolate and coffee. It is excellent. I think the mouthfeel is great. Full body with medium carbonation. I definately recommend this beer. It's great.
