How sad that I am the first person to review this wonderful beer!
Appearance - The beer was deep brown with visible carbonation and a slight white head.
Smell - The nose had the sweet malts of a doppelbock. Dark bread really came through in the profile.
Taste - The profile was hugely multi with notes of dark bread and raisins. Tobacco hints were also present. It even had a bit of peppery spice. The thick body allowed the profile to linger.
Mouthfeel - What a great body! This was no light beer, it had some staying power.
Overall - this was a great example of the style.
