Pour is a deep brown / mahogany. Decent lacing and retention
Nose is caramel, honey, bourbon oak, toffee. Nose is a bit subdued at first, but opens up as the beer warms.
Taste follows - oaky bourbon upfront, followed by caramel, toffee, hint of dark fruit on the finish. Perhaps a hint of oxidization.

Had this beer at the brewery poured from tap into a small snifter. Dark brown with a persistent beige head and good curtain lacing. Smell and taste of warm boozy caramel and toffee. Dark fruit and a bit smokey. Rich, full feel. Very warming, comforting beer.
