Appearance - The beer was murky brown in appearance.
Smell - The rum really took over the nose.
Taste - The bass beer might actually be good. The rum barrel gave it the profile of grapes and some thing oddly earthy. It was drinkable, but rum and beer typically do not mix well.
Mouthfeel - The body was smooth and had viscosity.
Overall - Aging a beer and rum barrels generally has a negative effect.

Pour is a deep mahogany / ruby red. Light khaki head fades to little cap on the glass
Nose is molasses, brown sugar, toffee
Taste is oaky, molasses, caramel, heavy toffee, subtle rum, maybe a hint of plum? Nicely balanced - not too sweet
Not cloying or overly thick/syrupy. Easy to drink.

Purchased a can of this beer at the brewery.
Poured into a tulip glass. Dark mahogany brown color with decent initial effervescent head, little lacing. Strong boozy caramel and toffee smell and taste. Some interesting dark fruit notes. Thin for the style. Warming.
