This was a very warm comforting beer which seems to be a specialty of this brewery.
Had it on tap at the brewery poured into a small snifter. Dark ruby red brown color with a nice beige head and excellent curtain lacing. Pleasant very boozy smell and taste. Toffee, dark fruit, dark toast and roasted malt. Nice bitter finish with a sweet background. Nice full smooth feel. A very warming, comforting beer. Nice to find a rich wee heavy.
