2023 version. Drank 12/31/23
Pour is a deep brown, almost black. thin, fizzy khaki head fades to nothing quickly.
Nose is toasted malts, honey, bourbon starts to come through as the beer warms.
Taste follows. Toasted malts, honey, some chocolate, vanilla, caramel.. bourbon appears sneakily on the back end, quite enjoyable...not quite subtle, but not over powering, either. Blended in nicely. Warming in the belly.
Not overly sweet or cloying
